During an overnight hunting trip to Suggsville in Clarke county I heard a ghost walking up the stairs in our very old antebellum camp plain as day right behind my bed. I could hear its feet scuffing on the wood stair steps. The top floor was removed in the 1950s and the stairs led nowhere, If it’s the same house I’m thinking of, I’ve heard some stories. Our camp is a little ways down the road. You could hear footsteps just about every night.
