There was a thread on another message board like this that went on for a lot of years. I have read them a couple of times. Most of it was hunting out west and it was very interesting. There's some weird stuff out there.

I was hunting on a small property in Perry County back in high school, sitting in a tripod on a clear cut backed up to a swamp. About dusk, I heard an organ playing from what sounded like the middle of the swamp. At first it was pretty faint, but proceeded to get louder. I didn't stick around too long after that.

I've told it before, but it's funny what the mind will do to you. Walking out one evening after a bowhunt, climber on my back and bow in my hand, I kept hearing something behind me about 25-30 feet rustling leaves. When I stopped, it would stop. When I would walk, I could hear it. Shined my flashlight and nothing. This went on 7-8 times before I finally started trotting back to the truck to get the heck out of there. It got louder the faster I moved. It was then that I realized my pull up rope had fallen out of my pack and unraveled. I was dragging it and the carabiner was bouncing in the leaves as I was moving.

I can’t say unexplainable - because there is a simple explanation.

Was hunting in Coosa county Fall of 2011 and found a bunch of scattered trash pretty deep in the woods. Paper, bills, general household type paper garbage. I/we assumed it was debris that had fallen during the tornadoes during the Spring, but was kinda weird looking to be walking a trail through an area of planted pines and come upon a good sized area with trash in the trees and on the ground.

Numerous deer drop in their tracks from being shot with a mere 6mm peashooter……I know it’s hard for some to fantom and I probably wouldn’t believe it either if I hadn’t personally witnessed it😊

Me and a friend were squirrel hunting behind our old neighborhood where we grew up (probably 10 or 11 yrs old at the time hunting with Benjamin .22 pellet rifles). Saw a squirrel climbing a tree and shot it. Walked over to it, picked it up, and noticed there was no blood or pellet hole in the squirrel. Checked the tree where it was when I shot and could see where the pellet hit the tree. Got home and we get to cleaning the squirrels...that one must have had a heart attack because there was no entrance or exit hole from the pellet, no blood, nothing to indicate that I had shot it.

I've seen that too. I shot a doe one afternoon, heard it crash about 75 yards from me. It was extremely cold that afternoon and would be in the teens that night. I walked to where I thought it would be and didn't see it right away (it was dark by then) so I decided to come back the next day and take care of it. At that time we were working hard to get the population in check so all I really was after was the jawbone. Anyways, next day went and was puzzled that I couldn't see it right off. I went back to where I shot it and blood trailed it to about 10 feet before I saw part of it. It was completely covered in leaves with a few bites gone from a hindquarter. I later read that bobcats do this. I was happy for it to have a doe and not some quail or turkey.

I saw a dude drop a deer in its tracks with a Creed once.

What county was that taken in gomer?

Me and a buddy were fishing a tournament in the delta and was running from Live Oak back up to Claiborne. It was a little foggy but runnable. When we came out of the Tensaw into the Mobile I saw a guy paddling a pirogue a from the west side to the east. Plain as day. I pointed it out to my buddy who was driving. He adjusted course to give it some room. When I looked back it was gone. no boat, nobody swimming, nothing. I motioned for him to shut down (we were doing 70 ish). He said what??? I said that pirogue is gone. He said what pirogue? I said the one I pointed out and you dodged. He swore he never saw it just changed direction because I pointed. I can still see it....

This happened once to me, but only once!!

The 7ft timber rattler BS story makes way more sense now. We knew it was BS, but now it really comes together.

Bought some land a couple of years ago that had an old house and several outbuildings. I bought the property in the winter and kept the yard mowed during the summer. There is a power line behind the house that parallels the road and woods. This connects to the house about 50 yards from the house. I mow the power line right away and as was passing the clearing to see the yard where the house was I had a weird sensation come over me and I looked to my left and there was an older gentleman standing next to the house. The opening was only a few feet so by the time I stopped and backed the mower up the person was gone. I remember when I was a kid my dad would help the old guy plow his garden. I found some old pictures and sure enough, that’s the guy I saw. He’s been dead for 25 years. I guess he was checking out how I was mowing his yard. What’s weird is not the image but the feeling I had a split second before I saw him.

Ha!!....I got one similar.

Walking into my stand one morning before daylight and saw a light at the top of the ridge where I was headed…..I hunkered down and started watching it thinking it was trespassers and deciding how I was gonna handle it, whether it was one person or a group, etc…..Well, they didn’t move….. they just sat there making zero noise with the light shining my way…..I was thinking “What are these folks doing?”….So, I kept watching and kept watching but they just kept standing there…..Finally I decided to go ahead and go confront them for trespassing……I started walking up the ridge toward them and hollered out….”Hey!!!....What are y’all doing in here!?!?”…….They still didn’t move, just kept shining their light at me……I hollered again……”Hey!!!.....Hey!!!!”……..

It was about that time that I had made it far enough up the ridge that I saw the culprit…..It was the moon just barely creeping up over the ridge top… ….Yeah, I felt dumb that morning but couldn’t do nothing but just laugh at myself…….
