What kind of Tomfoolery is this? I looked at my couple cases stash this morning before heading to work and the cases I have bought the last couple of years show all are listed as 1 oz of shot. Bidenomics maybe?

NOPE. ...the 7/8 oz that I saw were marked 12 gauge. I double looked.I had never seen these before. The 20 gauge were on on side of a big roll around cart and 12's were on the other, right in front of the cash register counter I didnt purchase any of those but did get a case of the 1 and 1/8 oz 12's. Good luck on opening day !!
