I know of at least 5 including mine (all 2018 Silverados) that had the torque converter transmission replaced before 80K miles. What happens when the torque converter goes out? The 6 speed transmission has a tendency to run too hot. The torque converter is the weak link. Heat breaks down fluid prematurely and destroys the converter. Metal fragments in turn wreck the transmission.
