Does anyone know where to find success rates for harvest on WMAs? Does the state even publish that data? I’m not looking for a county by county breakdown per se, but more or less hunter success throughout various scheduled gun hunts during the season. All I can find is antlered and non antlered cumulative kill totals but nothing on WHEN they were killed.

Thanks in advance

There used to be some data available of man hours needed for a kill. I know it will be out there somewhere but where I don't know.

Harvest. I hate that term when it comes to killing animals. Even when it comes to farming I seldom hear it. It’s normally we’re: combining beans or wheat, picking cotton, cutting corn, silage or timber or picking peanuts. Sorry, just hardly here harvest used around here much.

They used to post harvest statistics for some WMAs on the outdoor alabama web page

https://www.outdooralabama.com/hunting/wildlife-management-areas

Doesn't look like last year's are posted..??

I always thought statistics like that were suspect. What I mean is that the x factor in a lot of that type data that no one talks about is how good the hunters are. If 70% of the hunters that are hunting Autauga WMA suck at hunting, then the numbers are not going to look too good.

Cool. Bet your fun at parties. Excuse me for using the same verbiage the ADNCR uses and triggered you.

Well they do flip em and then pick em. I guess it's whatever you wanna call it. Either way, like you said, I've never heard em call it a harvest lol.
