We didn't kill. Had some close calls with a couple around 10'.
I guess if someone has a tag they can pay someone to take them. Not much of a living only being opened 2 weekends though lol.

Wow that is a goodun out of Selma. We had his twin on last night for 2.5 hours came up 5 times. We used the grappling hook and damn if it did not pull the treble.

I know this is an old thread but for some reason itās not working to start a new thread. What are some tips for locating a big gator? Day? Night? Iāve gone a few times but donāt seem to be able to find big ones very easy. Plan to be around mobile or north of there this year. Thanks

Iām following this too. I got drawn for west central this year and have very minimal experience. If anyone has tips Iām open. Heck I need one of those guided boats I read about earlier in this thread.

We lost a good one Saturday night but wound up getting a smaller male just over 9 feet. Still have a tag for one under 6 feet to fill. If you have never tried it, you should.
