This shotgun has kind of been on my list of shotguns that I really would like to own. I've looked for the last 12 - 16 months on and off just price shopping and seeing what they are bringing.. Good grief. For as many of them that were made, they don't come up often and when they do they are not cheap.

There's one on Guns International right now for 2400 NIB ( so it says ) and another NIB that says it's unfired for 3k. I thought the Marlin / Winchester lever fever was bad but at least those settled down some. The Japanese A5's are not slowing down and I can't figure out why. They are nice but wow.

I just can't see spending that kind of money on a shotgun.

Yeah…the stupid $ on some has made me forgo accumulating some more I wanted. There are others I like to shoot also, so it ain’t the end of the world. I can buy a new 20ga A5 for way less than a near new Auto 5 20…light or mag.

I'd purchase one in the 95% condition range so long as the price dropped accordingly, IF I COULD FIND ONE.

Birmingham pistol had a light 20 with chokes on gunbroker that I drove and bought probably 8 years ago for $1400. It was unfired without the box in perfect condition. I showed a couple of buddies and they said I was crazy at the time and I of course shot it but it is in otherwise pristine condition. One of my favorite guns that I would have a hard time getting rid of. Finding another one would be like finding hens teeth.

I'll give you 1500 for it right now !!!!

You made a good investment there. If it's still in that condition you have about a 2500 -3000 dollar shotgun.

The Jap guns are bringing a premium now due to folks finally realizing they're every bit the gun that the Belgium guns are. Even more so for folks like me that went strictly 20ga for ducks and geese and other things with feathers. Combine that with the limited supply and you see the results in the prices they're bringing. I gave $2k for my last Jap Mag 20 and was tickled to death. I flipped it for $3200 within a week
