Polling data probably showed they were losing the democrat Jewish vote by pandering to the Hamas loving muslims in the rust belt states. They looked and realized that the numbers of jewish votes they were losing far outnumbered the entire number of Muslim hamas supporters and they immediately switched sides and are supporting the Jews but trying not to piss off the Muslims at the same time. Dems have a pile of splinters in their azz from sitting dead on the middle of that fence for so long.
