I'm guessing he let rifle lay and tried to run, but I'm not sure. I would of thought he'd of backed off the ridgeline first.

Now the FBI can't open his phone. We may never know what he was doing on that roof or if he had help.

Why can't they open the phone with a warrant in hand? No problem getting the J-6ers phones open.

That time lapse video is great. It shows just how long from the point of attendees noticing him to the point of shots. 2 minutes. What it doesn't show is when the officer climbed up the ladder to confront the shooter. And it doesn't show at what point the attendees got the attention of the cops and the cops understood what they were talking about. I feel like the cops didn't take the threat seriously at first. Probably thought someone is climbing up to get a better view or take pictures of the rally.

Here's something else I thought about earlier. Trump should be our indicator of whether this was an inside job or not. If they don't explain to him how the failure happened, and he isn't satisfied with the reason it happened, he will be publicly ridiculing the people at fault. I feel like if there is ANY inclination to him that this wasn't just a mistake, he will talk about it publicly. He doesn't keep his mouth shut about this stuff. I think that's why he hasn't said much about it yet. I tend to lean towards it being incompetent local LEOs but I am not a conspiracy theorist guy so I could very well be wrong. I really could see it going either way. And I wouldn't be surprised either way. But I think Trumps mouth will be the indicator to the truth.

Everybody has thought through all of that. But none of it explains the obvious thing, that some kind of security dude should have been sitting there with at least an umbrella for the heat the entire time Trump was in the general area. It was not just gross incompetence. No amount of incompetence can an excuse that. Its like a pizza with no sauce or cheese.

not sure where the guy died at. Someone definetely got shot on the left side behind trump.

I heard there were also a couple of folks wounded. Haven't heard much about them though.

Also heard the building the shooter was on top of was the staging are for the crowd cops.
so take that with a grain of salt for now.
Seems weird they haven't had a press conference yet. There's alot of things they should know by now and be able to clear up. Not sure what the hold up is.

Gross incompetence would definitely cause that. If the cop that was supposed to be posted there saw one of his buddies and walked a hundred yards away to talk to him once the rally started. It's easily explained. Cops get lazy. Secret service guys probably not so much. I'm not saying it's excusable, but it is very very possible.

Laura Ingraham just said at the RNC that reports say the shooter was seen on the roof a full 26 minutes before he fired.

I just saw a report on that too. The idiot had a full half hour up there. That’s not incompetence. That’s planned and executed. He was allowed to be up there by someone. I know I’m often guilty of thinking the worst in these situations, but my gut has been right way more than wrong. I’ll die convinced that some level of government involvement led to this, and don’t give a rats rear what the FBI has to say. They need to be abolished.
