South Africa actually. My best friend and his wife went last year and had a blast. He shot a dang nice Kudu, impala and warthog. When I saw the pics and videos I knew I wanted to go. We got the last kid graduating high school in May and then we are headed out 3 days after for 10 days. Kinda a we got 3 kids out of high school present for us. I never in a million years thought this ol bama boy would get to hunt Africa. Im pumped!!!

Be careful, the animals aren't your biggest threat. It's a beautiful country and somewhere everybody ought to see, but the geopolitical conditions have deteriorated since I was last there. If you have a couple of days to spare, don't miss the Cape and the Stellenbosch wine country too

wine country too We spend one night in Johannesburg. Outfitter has armed guards meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel. Armed guards with you on the way to the property. He says once he got there he felt extremely safe. No wedding rings or jewelry for the wives. I will have my head on a swivel fo sure.

It’s not as bad there as some make it seem. I’ve personally been 7 times and I’ve sent DOZENS of clients to Africa. You’ll be fine.
It will be the best experience of your life if you let it.

Flew home from Johannesburg last year and it was a direct flight to Atlanta on Delta. It was nice to get a direct flight. I was told it was the longest flight Delta flies and it seems like it was almost 17 hours!

we were in Johannesburg , South Africa and Bulawyo, Zimbabwe. No problems.
Worst part is the flight over and back....22 hours in a plane.
You will have a blast for sure.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Roll with the flow in everything that happens. It is NOT the US and stuff sometimes doesn't run as smoothly as here. We lost ALL of our guns and clothes on the way over. We made a plan. Borrowed clothes and guns and went hunting. Had a blast, Got our stuff back half way thru the hunt.

I picked up a CZ 550 FS in 9.3X62, I need to start saving for a trip Always wanted one of these. Got a 358 Win a while back, but love the nostalgia of the 9.3x62.

I picked up a used Rem 700 SS in 375H&H. Very light and very accurate. Does kick a lil....
