Most places in the Baytown Wharf are pretty good. Good enough anyway. Get some live shrimp and fish off the pier there first thing in the am and catch some redfish and trout to cook yourself and not fight the hustle and bustle.

+1 for Dewey’s on the bay. We go there every time. Surf Shack is a tourist trap, but have had good meals there too. McGuires is popular as well.

Gotta hit the boathouse too if it’s still there. It’s down at the docks between Destin and FW. Live music, screened in dock, that has every type of oyster you can cook I believe.

The recommendations above that are back in Destin are going to a huge pain in your butt to try and visit. Stay east of mid bay bridge road. No one mentioned Seagars but you’ll have to dress a little better than an Alabama tourist.

In Sandestin, the Marlin Grill in Baytown Wharf. It’s really cool place to eat and walk around. Lots of things for the kids to do as well.

There are several good restaurants down along 30A but traffic getting there and back during the summer is crazy.

Ill give a third for Stinky's. Their crawfish pie is legit.

I like the Oar House on the north side of the bay. Dumpy little bar/restaurant that is mainly local, and because of location it is cheaper than anything on the beach. Good to hit coming into town and heading out.

I had no idea. Ate there for years during my wife’s convention in Sandestin. It moved to OB in 2022 so we haven’t been back since. What moved into that spot ?
