Wife and I use a couple on the back porch in the afternoon. All can is I you tubed how to refill the butane. These things are ridiculous expensive. And I still haven’t figured out these hours they put in the box. 12 hours we usually get about 2 to 3 out one bottle. The you tube videos claim to be able to refill 20 off of one can of butane

Saw THIS the other day and Thermacell refills was the first thing I thought of. I’m surprised nobody has brought one to market before now, with all the (“green”) campers since Covidocracy. I’ve tried refilling from aerosol can refills, but don’t have a step right.

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

The bottles are easily refilled. Been refilling mine for about 5 or 6 years. The thermacell is the best invention for bowhunting since the laser rangefinder. I typically get about 3 hours per fuel canister.

I refilled a few, simple process as long as you get the right adapter with your butane can. I didn't the last can of butane I bought and wasted most of it trying slap

Fuel keg is an improved ripoff of Flame King’s system that has been on the market a while. Flame King

Yes and works good. All my pads are cut in 1/2 and work just as well

Refill Adapter

I have had this one for a couple years now. It works very well. Do not buy the plastic adapter that some sell. They get brittle when cold (flowing butane is cold) and break in one or two uses. Been there done that.

You do have to modify the cartridge but it's easy and only has to be done once. Youtube videos are your friend.

I've got some of the rechargeable battery-powered thermocells for the back porch. No butane needed. I do need to figure out how to refill the repellent cartridges.

Thermacell Backpacker on amazon. It runs on a camping fuel canister kinda like a small propane bottle but with different threads. They sell the camping fuel at walmart. Just remember to turn it off or it will run about a week before it dies. We have one on each porch and they are great.

That's the one my dad uses. He hunts off a buggy because he can't walk

Thermacells are great for keeping bugs away but don't believe anyone that tries to say that deer can't smell them. I can smell them, so I know that deer can. You still have to pay attention to wind direction, as you always should.

I was in the “ deer can smell them and I’ll never use one” camp for several years til I finally came to my senses. If a deer does smell it, it’s already smelled you anyway.

If y’all ever tried to deer hunt down here in the marsh, you’d be willing to sell your house to buy refill kits. Those things are priceless down here.

No doubt in Florida also. If I can't kill a deer or a turkey with a thermacell, I won't ever kill another one and I'm fine with that. If I forget mine, I go back and get it.
