Guys. I am reaching out to you for your prayers. I had a real bad accident at my lake house yesterday. I have broken 3 vertebrae and 4 ribs and have a pneumothorax. I have been in excruciating pain. However I am so thankful to be here. I ask for your prayers of healing and thanksgiving! Thanksgiving because God was watching over me. It is going to be a long recovery but I am here!
I believe in the power of prayer. I need it.

Long story very short. I lost a big black float from my dock. My friend had one at his place I could use. Took my pontoon over to his place by myself. Black float was about 25 feet up the hill and about 15 feet above water line. I was going to drag it down with my bow line but when. Got there, there was already a rope attached. I decided to do what I always do and act like I am still 25yo and muscle it down myself. But the rope broke and sent me backwards off the hillside and my back hit the tip of one of the tritoons at the waters edge. I felt things in my chest shatter so I knew I was in trouble. I was on all fours in about 8ā of water. I just kept saying breath. Just breath. After a few minutes my friend saw me down there and yelled down to see if I was ok. I couldnāt talk. He made it down from the house and he was able to get me set up on the edge of my boat. At that time I lost consciousness and then would wake for a second and throw up and then go out for a few seconds and repeat the process. Cullman County EMT got me to UAB and now we are just trying to figure out whatās next. I have a T4 and T5 fracture and then a L1 burst fracture. If anyone has friends at UAB on the neuro team, please reach out for me. I want to make sure I am with the right people and at the right place. I have spent 30 years in Healthcare but most of that has been in Hearts.
Any help would be appreciated!
