Here are the pics of my trap and some close ups of the parts.
Yes, it is very redneck, but it works and it didn't cost me a fortune.

Dang, I must be ugly!

If you notice in the first picture (Sasquatch picture) there is no rut stick. You can see paracord running up and to the right. I actually climbed a tree in the very beginning and pulled the trigger myself. I just wanted to see what would happen and how the pigs would act. I sat there until 11:00 PM that night before they came in. But, it worked.

After that first time, I put in a trigger as seen in the later pics.

I used a swing down gate because pigs are sometimes spooky about stepping over a metal bar or boards.

They were part of my redneck trigger. The pig moves the root stick releasing the tention on the para cord holding the bottles up the bottles then fall pulling the trigger on the gate.

On all the 30,000 plus acres I shoot on, everyone is having a hard time trapping. Are you guys seeing low numbers this time of year?

I have killed a lot of Hogs within 30 yds of a baited trap.Good traps. Some have the whole cell phone trip camera deal. Less than 25 Hogs have been trapped since February on these properties.

Even though it is not the best time of the year to trap, we are going to start a large project over on the Tombigbee next week. Will have 10 traps on that property. Will give weekly updates on how we do.

We have only been running 3 traps so far this year and they have been pretty slow but not that slow.
