I’ve always heard it beats the alternative but dang if it doesn’t suck to get old and realize you can’t do stuff like you could when you were younger. The body just doesn’t bounce back like it used to.

a two hour job turns into a two day job.....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Yes it does suck. Just finished a survey on a mountain that wouldn't have bothered me a few years ago. Dang near killed me this time. I do have to have a hip replacement and that sure didn't help.

How old do you have to be for this ?

I silently chuckle with a bit of sorrow when I’m hiking a hill in the lead and I hear heavy breathing from the youngsters behind me. I slow my pace out of compassion but am both angry and sorrowful they are in such bad shape.

I get frustrated as a senior citizen that I can only do a little over 100 full pushups per set, maybe 14 pullups per set.

I wish I could have sex more than 4 days per week, so busy I can’t always find the time.

With all of my injuries most folk couldn’t get out of bed and are on pain meds.

I still don’t know what anything over 8% body fat is like

I could swear I hike high altitude better than when I was young, maybe because I move slower and rest more?

My favorite activity is chainsawing all day in 100+ heat 😂🤣😂🤣

I know so many people that are old men at 17 years old because they got no machismo.

Mind over matter people !

That's me too.
Too much arthritis and just plain old.

It took me 30 minutes to put the cover on the boat today. I used to carry a climbing stand a mile and go up a tree 60 ft. I do good to carry bucket to sit on now.

I hate when it is hard to climb up on a piece of equipment to work on it. When I get up there I am proud of my accomplishment. The real problem is once I’m finished and tired of “hanging onto and working in awkward position” I gotta get my but back down. And there in lies the real challenge. Of course my son says not to worry the ground will catch me.

I hurt every day. Dad always told me, all this fun you're having now will come back to visit you later. He was right.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Just finished 500ft of 6ft privacy fence in 51/2 days by myself and I'm almost 74. My Dad always said it's nothing but work. As far as aches and pains go, I don't know if they are any worse than they have ever been. As a young man from about 16 to 25 I use to break horses and have hit the ground so many times that I thought we were cousins.

If I woke up and wasn't hurting somewhere , I'd think I was dreaming.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

I do not think of jobs in terms of how much money, or how much reward or really how much general benefit I get from a job anymore.

I think about jobs in terms of how many assholes and idiots I have to deal with while completing the job. Then its a question of my tolerance/time=yes or no I will do the job. The tolerance value is entirely determined by the amount of stupid and asshole people.

Yea it sucks getting older and realizing you really never meant crap to someone you have given most of your life to. And you really don't have it in you to leave and start over. Thats when you know your best years are gone.

Don’t let this man fool you. He hike the Walls of Jericho like there was no tomorrow. Not only that. When we were at the end of the hike we stopped to rest and admire the gorge. Talking about how the big thing now is weight vest training. Wait for it…. On the way out I see a weight vest (mind you brand new probable 40-50lbs) that I’m sure some 20yr old discarded on the way out because it had done whipped his ass. I asked Ol 2Dogs if he wanted it since he was just talking about it. He said sure. He put that damn thing on and hiked another 3/4 mile or so with it and never broke a sweat. Now me and Ol Whitebone were starting to suck a little wind. More Whitebone than me but 2Dogs… Nadda!
