This really is right out of Star Wars, but its real. France has declared conservatism (40%) to be a threat, and they have dissolved their government because of it. WWIII has basically been declared, and France is an authoritarian regime government. Thats what theBiden, and Zelensky, and Macron private meetings were about. Unreal. Its kinda unreal, but it is real. They made being conservative and proud of your country and culture illegal. That boggles my mind.

It doesn’t mean abolition of the government. It’s a political move. He’s calling for democratic elections in 3 weeks, which is how some countries do it. They don’t have set 4 year terms like we do. It’s not WW3. A quick perusal of trusted right-of-center news sources can confirm this information

With everything that is going on over there, if that 40% is duly elected he could lose BIGLY in a legitimate election. Course with who he was meeting with earlier this week it's probably not gonna be a surprise to him who wins.

Update: There is going to be an election in France, Macron admits defeat....but he changed the election rules and dissolved parliament, so his election rules cannot be changed. How about that for stealing an election and getting your enemies to vote for you at the same time. Like a banker trick.

It may seem strange to us, but it's a common procedure for European-style parliamentary governments to hold elections where the current government has lost support. Read Roy Jenkins' Churchill biography and you'll get a good sense of how parliamentary systems work.

Pendulum is swinging right again. Last time this happened in Europe, some spicy things started happening. Interesting that the map of Europe looks more like pre-WW1 than it did thirty years ago along with political changes and a hot European war already going on.
