I have a Pit Boss never tried the other brand so I can’t compare. I have no complaints with the Pit Boss. I have a Lodge charcoal grill (small hibachi style). I use for steaks and burgers. Ribs, butts, and poultry the Pit Boss.

I have a Pit Boss, I keep the ashes cleaned out and I’ve never had a problem.

I’ve read several of these threads over the years and the Rectec sounds good BUT I looked at a couple at the Ace Hardware in Cullman today and didn’t really see anything to make me want to replace my Pit Boss with one.

I’d bet the electronics and motors would be similar or the same for cost reason and the build would be where the corners are cut.

I’m torn right now wanting a Yoder but they keep going up. They’re heavy and the design eliminates some problems I had on my Pitboss 1100 pro. I did like it for smoking but hamburgers flamed up a lot. Most pellet grills would be similar by design until you get into the higher dollar ones.

I’ve looked at the pellet grills several times and I’ve done a lot of research a couple years ago. At the time, I really wanted a Yoder with the cook cart. I think if I ever go with a pellet grill it will be the Yoder, MAK, or Cookshack. I’ve looked at Gridiron from Nebraska as well (I think that’s the name) but it has been awhile.

When you purchase the higher end units….theres reason they are more. Could be the controllers used, customer service available, made in USA, quality of materials, etc…….whats its worth to one, may not be to another.
