I only trust one other person besides myself working on our vehicle. I go behind anybody that does any kind work for me before money is exchanged. I don't normally, but after reading this thread I now believe it's a good idea. Transmission flushes etc any thing that’s maintenance I’m very wary. I was is the auto parts 15 years and got to know a lot of mechanics. Most are hack jobs or straight up cheats. I get the oil changed in a couple of our vehicles because I can’t get under them. I’ve had them drain the new oil out on more than one occasion for putting the wrong weight in it. Exactly, If I could get under the Highlander , I do oil changes myself. I'd be mighty dangerous if I had a lift in my shop. I'm glad to see I'm not the only tire marker and double checker.
"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
