Brake fluid is hydroscopic. It needs to be changed, but as long as the system is sealed it should be good for a long time. I understand that, but brake fluid replacement was part of the “recommended” service on a Lexus GX 460 with 30K miles. That was the first time I’d ever heard of such a thing.
