Sorry you got hit. On the tagging, I decided a long time ago, just to pay for insurance and let them deal with the theft and replacement, if my stuff gets stolen. I know exactly where my personal limits are. 50% of the time, the local cops or county sheriff won't do anything about it in a timely manner, even if you provide them with the location. Thus, there's a very good chance that I'd have to go get it myself, most likely with a couple close friends that share my same disgust with thieves and POSs. Our penalty for theft and our imposed version of justice would most likely be higher than the law allows and we'd get the stuff but end up in jail. Word to the wise, you always need to know and evaluate/assess your personal tolerances and limits, before you go and install something like that. It's simply information that I know, myself and the guys I hunt and hang out with, really really dont need to know. Maturity is being able to make sure you eliminate information and situations that will push you past your personal limits of tolerance and way over into the red zone, before they arise. I've always been an A type personality and unfortunately, the older I get, the lower my tolerance level for lawlessness and BS like this seems to get.
