Grown ass people act like freaking babies at work and have zero work ethic. Sounds corny, but the day I got hired up there over 27 years ago, it was like winning the lottery for my family. Everyone was damn proud to work there. Now these folks with 5 to 6 and less years seniority don’t give a damn about anything except being sorry as hell and seeing how much drama they can stir up at work. I work in the part of the quality department that inspects the cars at various points throughout the assembly lines. These folks get paid $34 an hour now to look at the car. That’s all they have to do. Look at the car, check it to a standard and write up anything they find wrong. What do the majority of them do, bitch about doing that and do a half ass job of inspecting the cars. So spare me the whole “well management needs to treat them better” horsechit. You could pay them to sit on their asses in the team centers and not have to do a thing and they would still bitch about it.

Every thing you said I totally agree with, I worked 37 years with IP and retired March 1, 2024 for the exact same reasons that you wrote, new hires are awful, my saving grace was I was in maintenance and those guys are good that we hired in the past 12 years , different breed of people than production hires.
