I have a browning BAR .308,
a Browning BAR 30-06,
and a Ruger 300wsm.
The Ruger has the best trigger pull,
but I hunt with the BAR 30-06 most of the time,
and my Wife hunts with the Browning BAR .308 now.
She also has a BAR in .243

Browning X-Bolt 280REM. I listen to a weekly podcast of Gun Talk Radio. Tom Gresham hosts and last week he asked this very same question. %75 of atleast 20 people that called, said 308. And more than half on here have said that. Suprised me. Not because I dont think a 308 is a great round but because of all the people I hunt with and around not 1 of them hunts with a 308. Which means I have very little to no exposure to one. A 308 may be next on my wishlist.
But coming in a close 2nd in a A-Bolt 7mm-08 that I bought for my son.
