I killed 3 deer off my property I bought last year. Seeing the smiles of family eatin my sausage and jerky is what makes me happy. Ain't found a good recipe for horn stew yet. This Fall I hope to have a cabin, food plot and ground blinds ready to let the grandkids shoot one.

The real answer for me is time. With time, I can appreciate the sunrise and thank the Lord for the day. Knowing that I have obligations and my time is limited causes me to be distracted. Simply living in the moment makes me smile. Nothing better than sitting in the duck blind listening to ducks calling and wings whistling overhead, hearing the first crow and straining to hear an answering gobble, watching a doe running and looking back and expecting a monster behind her. Time for family makes me the happiest.
