Do you guys ever feel sick when you pass up a good deal?
I just turned down a Browning Cynergy 3.5 wicked wings in old school tan camo with hard case and chokes for $1550. I'm having regrets already and its only been 30 minutes. In my defense it is a 28 inch barrel and would have bought it with a 26.
Question for next time: If a gun has been sent back to Browning for the Duratouch factory recall does it reduce the value or is it considered like it never had the bad dip job?

I missed a deal because of my ex - wife. Remmy 700, mcmillian stock, NF scope, pelican case and 100 rounds of ammo. $1000. Only catch, the buyer had to be in law enforcement and my former BIL was. I still have nightmares about that
I have no concerns with recall work done.

I passed on a custom Mauser in 338 06 at a gun show about 10 years ago.
It was beautiful. Gorgeous and slim wood stock, excellent craftsmanship, rust blued steel.
Still kicking myself.

Yes. Too many times to remember them all. Which is probably best.

if you're regretting it and you can afford it, go back and get it. One thing I look at when deciding on a deal is , if I change my mind, can I get my money back out of it. If you think you can, buy it and see if you like it. If not, sell it and get your money back.

I hate it more when I don't even know about the deal to be able to pass it up. Example: My neighbors BIL knows what I do. I've done work for him. He was looking for a Glock 20 10mm. Had a Browning Citori for trade. He traded straight up for a used G20 and 2 mags. No ammo, no boot from the G20 owner. Just a straight trade for the G20 for the LNIB Citori I'd gotten him a new one and paid all taxes and handled the transfer for that deal

Any additional info on the factory duratouch redo and pricing would be appreciated. Should I stay away from those or any other duratouch firearms?

I had an SX3 with duratouch I sent in. All they did was slap a new set of non duratouch camo stocks on it. Didn't refinish the gun. Take that for what it's worth on value.

I passed on a Ruger #1 in .308 with 3 digit serial number a while back. I think it was 386? Still think about it every now and then.

I remember going down to Robert's Sporting Goods in downtown Birmingham when I was younger and there were barrels stuffed with M1 Carbines and M1 Garands and Springfields all for $59 and $69 and I wish I had taken my money I made washing cars, making pizzas at Davenports and cutting grass and bought everyone I could have possibly bought.
But I spent it all on girls, fast cars, beer, booze, pot, and rock concert tickets...
I guess the memories make up for it...

I don’t know why folks send it back for duratouch, I’ve never seen a duratouch job that lasted worth a dang. If you use regular bug spray/deet during teal or turkey season it will eat the duratouch away. It’s best to go ahead and rattlecan or cerokote the thing and be done with it imo. That’s not a bad deal but I wouldn’t lose sleep over it

I got a good deal on my cynergy though, I traded a Dpms lr-308 for it to a guy who had a bunch of hogs showing up on his place back before hogs were everywhere. I had bought that ar 10 for $700 back then
