We were in Luverne this afternoon and it looks like it is growing to the south. It looked like they are prepping to put in a subdivision on the west side of 331/29 south out of town. I looked more closely when we came back through and did not see any signage as to what it is, though.

Oh, wow.

I was pretty sure someone from there would know more about it.

I suppose this being done with hopes to host various tournaments and boost tourism?

Yep after passing the out of business basketbowl, skating rink, and the tire and bbq place just outside town on 331. I wondered what that was and didn’t see a sign.

Ate many a meal there after all-star baseball games. They made a pretty good cheeseburger. We would order by phone after the games and pick it up and eat as we rode home.

Get the Hampton Inn ready. Put in an ice machine on the closest corner. Nice gas station is a plus. Tournaments bring people.

Its called the Rutledge Inn. But yup, we could use a nice new conference center hotel with a skinning shed and truck warshing station. .

That place is nasty Skinny. I stay above my friends garage and use a Cleanwaste portable toilet to avoid staying at Rutledge Inn. Used to be great years ago and catered to hunters but no more. Dirty hotel.

There really isn't anywhere convenient to stay. The closest options are about 30 minutes east and west. I don't understand how they expect to host hundreds of families for a travel ball tournament with nowhere to stay, but I guess that could be the next phase of this development

Well you know everything was thought out when the money got appropriated.
