I work for GE Healthcare. Mostly repair MRI and Cat Scan machines. My background is Biomedical Electronics. You basically need a background in electro mechanical. So go to either the Biomed program at Jeff state or an industrial electronics school like Shelton State. Shelton seems to have a very good program. I say all this to say, we have a lot of people retiring. We are hiring apprentices every time we have a chance. It is a one year program. I have been around 5 apprentices in the last few years. 3 we hired, 2 we did not. The 2 that did not get hired was because they had no work ethic. So if you know any young people looking for a solid career let them know. I think Philips Medical systems and Siemens Medical have similar programs. Thanks.
