I believe a lot of this inflation is due to the fact many businesses have found they can pretty much charge whatever the hell they want.

Inflation is caused by one thing and one thing only and that is the constant printing of more money. There is no other explanation, that is how it works, its that damn simple.
It pisses me off when people try to blame inflation on anything but that very simple fact.
Our government can force the Fed to print as much money as they want, and when inflation gets bad the Fed raises interest rates to pull excess money out of the system. Thats how it works. Its a stupid system but its the system we got.
