For you guys that have been doing this, what do you look for in location?
Proximity to current feeding locations, edge of plots, etc?
Up on hills or down in bottoms?
What about hogs? I look for clay, but I also like to find a stump that is rotting out and pour it on it. I have one on a field prior to Westervelt saying we couldn't put mineral out, that every yote and bobcat would come by and pee on it too. Deer just wore it out. It was in a field down in a creek bottom in the middle of a pine thicket. I like to put them onm the edge of a green field. Kill 2 birds with one stone. Get them to take in minerals, and eat a little out of my limed and fertilized high protein plot.
