Don’t know if it was mentioned but a red dot versus a holographic red dot are different if I recall correctly the holo sight will hit no matter how you line it up gun wise as long as the holographic is on target. A red dot still depends on you mounting the gun the same way every time same as shooting a bead. Your cheek is the second sight. I could be wrong but that’s what I was told.

I have an old Burris speed bead that mounts on the stock bracket. I may reinstall that this year.

Yup getting old and eyesight changing is no fun. I used to have a pretty decent ability wing shooting. Yeah not so much these days. And lining up a bead even with my glasses on leaves a lot to be desired.
