Deer hunting isn’t deer hunting anymore. We are our own worst enemies. Started with getting rid of dog hunting cause other hunters didn’t like the way they did it. Now there are arguments and hunters degrading others cause they shot too small of a buck. You gotta let em grow they say. If you let em grow we will be killing 200 inch deer like they kill in Ohio. No we won’t. But if we change the laws so you only get one bucks then it’ll help. Yep it’ll help reduce the amount of hunters in the woods. One of em will be me. All this is tiring to an old man who just wants to hunt deer. I don’t kill small ones but that’s the choice I make. I don’t expect everyone else in alabama to think like I think. But a lot here seem to think we should do as they say and do. I don’t like corn. I wish it was still illegal. Won’t ever happen so I just choose to not hunt over corn. Same as everyone here can implement whatever restrictions they want to see on the land they hunt. But they won’t do it. They want everyone to be like them. So they beg for more government intrusion into their lives in deer hunting but turn around and scream there’s too much governmental control on everything else in their life. Crazy to me.
