Here in central Ms. our tire depot changed to Mavis, first time I walked in a big gal with purple hair asked if should could help, I ran out!

Big conglomerate. In Mobile they’ve bought out Traxx Tire. They also own the Express Oil chain and recently bought all the National Tire and Battery (NTB) stores and Tire Kingdoms.

For a generic daily driver hard to beat Walmart.
Cheapest prices on tires, more locations than any other tire retailer should you have an issue away from home, open more hours than most tire shops.

I always used Amazon for tires. Mainly priority tire but they may be Russians or Ukrainians. I had tires order right around the time that war broke out and I got a call from a girl with heavy russianish accent stating they couldn’t fulfill the order. I was refunded but that was odd. That’s for trailer tires, vehicle tires usually come from a local shop.

I bought a set of Michelin tires for my Titan several years ago from Mavis Tires (used to be Trax Tires). They were right at $1k. I was told that entitled me to free rotation and balance for the life of the tires. The first time I went back to have them rotated they tried to charge me $50! I spoke to the manager (a Democrat) and he waived the fee that time but told me that I had not purchased the additional tire insurance. I told them they would never see me again.
ps. the workers were sitting on the side of the building smoking weed.

Would not recommend. Used them a couple times and it takes forever to get simple things done (Foley, AL)

Mavis is a national company. When you call the local number, you get their sales team in New York. They will give you a price. Ive bought 2 sets of tires from them because they gave the best price I could find. The problem is when I got to the store both times the price was higher than I was given. Both times, I raised total hell with them giving one price on the phone and trying to charge me a higher price when I got to the store. To their credit, they did match the quoted price both times. But Ill never use them again, to much hassle and they are so slow in trying to get anything done.

Used em one time when my son was in school at south alabama. Paid for the tires online for him to go get put on. The tires I ordered didn’t come in. Was a huge ordeal to find out the ones I paid for couldn’t be ordered. Needless to say. I won’t use em again.

My dil took her car for oil change and rotate tires one wheel feel of before she got half mile down rd. They had to replace all the studs and lug nuts .
Took my truck to them for alignment it was an older ford with the camber alignment bushings . I know these can be rusted in and went ahead ,while I had it down for brake pads , and loosened them up with on blast and a chisel. Still like the tech was pissed off to have to do it . And almost $300 for less than an hour work I wasn’t real impressed.

Most of the ones here in B’ham were previously Tire Engineers, they sold out to Mavis and some partnered with Express Oil Change !! Tire Engineers was a pretty good place to do business. I was friends with the owners of Tire Engineers. Really good people

There’s one being built in Pike Road next to the Publix’s. That makes three messican restaurants, a Waffle House, poppa John’s and still no Jacks. McDonald’s coming soon.
