Seen a local FB post say they hope the floor plan can suit a remodel for a bar or restaurant 😄. Cracked me up.
S’boro tire gets my tire business. They do business with me so I do it with them.

Yeah , I saw your truck there the other day. Might be smart for the developer to have a plan B , Scottsboro is a strange market . Businesses you think would be a home run fold up , then there's others you wonder why they do so well.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

I used them once, last year when I put new tires on my Tacoma. I ordered the tires from Amazon, had them shipped to a Mavis in Daphne. Everything went smooth for me.

The Johnstons are fine folks. They were acquired by Express Oil. Express was looking to get in the tire business but didn't have any experience in the space. They began acquiring the very best tire stores in larger cities, most of which were multi location dealers. Many were Tire Pros franchises that were independently owned. Trax Tire Pros (mentioned in this thread) was another in the Mobie area as well as Upton Tire Pros in Jackson, Ms. Mavis ultimately purchased the Express oil company and began rebranding everything. Many of the Mavis locations aren't designed to be in the Tire business as they were built with the intention of being quick lubes. Not much room to store inventory hence the need for call centers and ordering tires to be shipped in to the location.

Sorry, just rambling. I was very involved with a lot of the locations acquired by Express throughout the Southeast.

I have a friend that works at a nationally known auto parts store.... he said Mavis Tire buys the cheapest brake pads they offer. Cheap brake pads mean LOTS of black brake dust and black rims!!! I also did some business with them before I knew about the cheap brake pads and I was NOT impressed. I will NEVER go to Mavis Tires. NEVER!

If I lived in Jackson/Delalb county I’d go out to Rainsville to Black’s Tire . They are locally owned and will do you a good job . If they don’t private message me . My son is the owner .

One's down here were Fausaks (local owned) then went to tire engineers (purty sure was that) and didn't half a year, then they all changed to Mavis tires.

Same thing at the Spanish fort location. They opened it up across from my old neighborhood about the time I needed tires from my truck and I was excited about the convenience (free rotate and balance and all)...not the case, ended up just doing my maintenance at Parish's in Daphne.

I bought a set of tires at the one in Trussville right after they bought the store from Tire Engineers. I had been doing business with TE at that location for years and always got good service without the up-sale.

They scratched my truck door while working on it. I didn't lose my cool, but I did point it out to the new manager (democrat). He basically called me a liar. That's when I lost it with him..

If you were ever in B'ham and went by the original TE location it would be so packed with vehicles you couldn't have gotten another one in the lot. Go by there now and there won't be 5 cars there.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Mavis

Yeah you're right. Just remembered they still going, they own/operate the oil places that the feller got fired (was the Manager) for putting all regular Oil in everything 😆 But it was Trax Tires i was thinking of, they had one on Schillingers rd and few others i believe.

I used Tire Engineers for 30 years. Tried to use Mavis, but gave up after a couple of trips. Won't set foot in their store. Won't send my family. Incompetent, slow, misleading, overselling, etc, etc. Friends don't send friends to Mavis.
