I have learned a lot here reading about the 308. I still have the Remington .06 I like it because I have shot lots of deer with it. They always land right where they were shot...dead! Maybe a twitch or two, but they do not go anywhere. I use to hate it when a deer would run off down in the swamp or creek. Then disappear. Went to the .06 and boom they dead! I do get the big kick from it though. I might go to the 308 for next year. If it is less kick from it. I'm getting old at almost 68 and pain hurts a lot more than it did, at football practice...lol
