I have 30-06, and .280 , bought a Savage .308 this year and really like it, it's the lightest gun that I have right now and with the short barrel, it's ideal for me when I am climbing and sitting in treestands, I have killed two deer, 2 hogs and a yote with it so far.....I tried to shoot 150 gr remington core lokt in it but the gun was so erratic and wouldn't group at 25 yds using them, switched to 165 gr hornady whitetail and it drives tacks at all distances.....
