Agreed. Have shot many different caliber combinations, but the efficiency, accuracy, and terminal performance of the .308 IMO puts it at the top of the line for deer rifles. The 165 accubond with 44.5 grains of varget groups 1/2” at 200 yds in my tikka. Best groups I’ve ever gotten and had pass through on shoulders of buck at 275 yds a few weeks ago. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
