I see constant bitching online about the 6.5. Mostly the creedmore. Word to you, the 6.5 is one of the best calibers there is for deer. If you are having “trouble” with that caliber, it’s not the bullet, it’s your piss poor shooting, not the bullet. I have killed deer from the .243 up to the .30 Caliber and every thing in between. The 6.5 is the most accurate bullet of all the deer calibers (prove me wrong) made. Sorry for the rant but dang, just learn to shoot!!

308 and 7-08 are better choices.

Bullet construction, impact velocity, shot placement. The right bullet, at the proper speed and in the right spot. Everything else is superficial.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

I usually hunt with my 7mm-08 or my .308 but my 6.5 x .284 NORMA will lay the smack down on one a L. O. N. G ways off. I’ve shot targets with it 1,100 yards away.

I also heard it from my outfitter in Kansas last fall. He hates the 6.5 Creed. I'm not a 6.5 Creed fanboy, but these issues have nothing to do with what's stamped on the case. It's the idiot with his booger hooker on the trigger.

Why, you are all crazy. I kilt 3 bull elephants and a cape buffalo with one shot from my .17HMR. I had to wait until they lined up but it blew right through all of them. Those ballistic tips are bad azz.

All the .264/6.5 cartridges are great.alot of good bullets available since the gheymore came out and got the .264's more popular than ever. Have shot and killed deer fine with all the traditional bullets from 120gr ballistic tips,130gr accubonds,129gr sst,130gr gamechangers and Hornady 140 gr. Interlock. Out of 260 Remington not 6.5 Creed all but same velocities though I just got bored hunting with the smaller cartridges.
Hornady definitely did a good job selling the cartridge cause guys that don't study reloading manuals or know better thought is was a like buying a 7mm stw or something.....first thing a company chambers a new rifle in nowadays is 6.5 Creed go figure
It just gave guys know different cartridge ballistics something to make fun of.🤣
Hell Hornady had guys selling 308's and 7mags for the superior killing power and long range performance of the Creed.drank the Cool aid

Those ballistic tips are bad azz. Seriously though, there are plenty of great deer calibers. I prefer my 25.06. I'm pretty fond of a 7-08 also. Don't need a 50 BMG to kill one and I'm not crazy about the idea of people hunting them with a .22 Hornet or the likes. But to each their own.
