First, I don't want to see any kind of armed conflict between Texas and the federal gov't. But, I am all for Texas protecting its borders and have no problem with Abbott calling the bluff. I'm like Eyedoc in thinking that it won't work out good for TX in the end if it does come to conflict, but the point will be made.

What angers me more than anything is that Biden is either, on purpose or through sheer extreme negligence, is letting in the terrorist that are going to kill Americans in the future, probably the near future and Biden, the man responsible for it, will either be dead or more of an imbecile than he already is, to be held accountable for it.

Can we get Abbott on the GOP ticket somewhere. I like the brass balls he's showing right now. He probably needs the wheel chair not because of a condition other than he needs it to get around carrying the set of balls he has.

Jawbone, I agree with you on seeing fighting. But our sensibilities are irrelevant. We need to look at what is happening. I've always enjoyed your post and think you are very perceptive guy. It's disturbing, but it is happening.

It's not just the militia guys playing war in the woods that believe there is no longer a political solution to this matter, the state governments have accepted that as well. It's like realizing a goofy friend is not just an idiot, but they were malicious the whole time. There isn't any coming back from that from my point of view and that seems to be where the governors of 25 states are right now.

Maybe I am overblowing it, but I don't think so. This is the Rubicon and it's in the rearview mirror now. Neither side can afford to back down here.

It is incomprehensible that free law abiding Americans had to live in fear for days in large cities. I am in my mid 50’s now and have seen a lot of crap go down. From the LA riots in the early 90’s to the BLM riots. I will not back down and I will not be held captive in my home by domestic terrorists. Our government is protecting the wrong people and our military that is sworn to protect us from threats both foreign and domestic has failed to do so. I don’t live in a major metropolitan city and I hate visiting them because they allow the criminals and drug users to own the streets. My last visit to D.C. consisted of my wife basically talking me down every time we were approached by the dope heads and anyone else that was rude to us once they realized we were true southerners. I walk softly and treat everyone with respect, but I do keep a can of W.A. In my pocket for anyone that crosses the line. If crap does go down and the local democrats try to intimidate me, I don’t have any problems being a martyr. I’m not living in fear of evil men.

Realize that at least on some level this is just grandstanding. They waited until an election year to really make this the issue. They could have done this 2-3 years ago. I'm not calling Abbott a RHINO he may have not had the support and maybe this is on the heels of Abbott creating a colalition of Governors because... I'd guess he couldn't get the support from congressional leaders. The very first thing they should have done after winning the House in 2022 was impeach DHS sec. Instead we sat around and talked about how Matt Gatez is a toolbag and unnecessarily fighting with McCarthy.

Y'all remember any of that? Yea... BS McCarthy didn't need to go and all his side deals with the Democrats right along with him.

The reason nothing gets done up there but pillow talk is because of a bunch of RHINO ass Republican's. What it appears to me is that Republicans know they are going to lose on every vote.... so they constantly breaking off members who are making side deals with the Dems to help themselves individually NOT on a whole. Most of Alabama's representation in D.C. = RHINO ass Republicans.

STOP voting for who Mitch McConnel tells you to vote for if you actually want change. These Benedict Arnolds have to be weeded out of the Republican Party. Your next chance to Vote better is in November.

Biden firing on Texas National Guard will cost the Dems the election.

The Texas AG is now saying that Texas law enforcement has proof that Biden's administration is working with drug cartels to bring the invaders in.

The other day Biden signed something halting the exportation of LNG. This was done to show the federal governments strength.

There is a problem though... Governors have strength as well. Abbott could shut down fuel and natural gas pipelines that supply the northeast with fuel and heating supplies with the stroke of a pen. He could just say it was to give the companies time to make "critical upgrades". The northeast would feel the effects of that in 36-48 hours.

These dumbasses dont realize that the real power in America is in the hands of blue collar workers who are mostly conservative. Without these men doing their jobs the following would be directly effected:

trucking
refineries
power plants
water\sewer treatment plants

Those are just a few things that we all depend on and if those guys all just called in sick this country would grind to a halt in a week or less. I think its time we show these idiots in DC what we can do.
