So far Bama's only lost 4-5 real contributors... I think we have picked up a few already and the portal opens back up in April. They'll probably lose more top guys when they see the money the guys are getting.

You hate to see it…. Is there a team that isnt "imploding" burbank? Is there any team not losing players and coaches right now and replacing them with other players and coaches? Does this not happen every year? Its barely even worth talking about. Well, 27 players in the portal and 6 lost recruits from 2025… Yea, it’s imploding. The '25 guys aren't a loss in reality. If Bama has a good year next year, those guys will be running back.

This was not a trolling post. It is a serious post. This may be true, but I wouldn't know. Hopefully the new "General Manager" guy that's coming with DeBoer can get a handle on the NIL, perhaps even better than Saban's staff did. I do think this, we will see the "Wild West" of the NIL and Portal stabilized and players accepting some kind of contracts similar to what NFL has or it won't end well. I think that College Football is changing too fast and the business model needs to be stabilized or it's going to get ugly and fan viewership is going suffer, and when ratings drop then the money dries up. The NFL (Good. Bad and Ugly) is the highest rated sport in the US for a reason and the reason is that it is a pretty stable product. I've never been a PAC-12 fan, but seeing the PAC-12 poached down to 2 teams is kind of a tragedy and an ugly side of where college football is headed.

It’s bad….. BUT I do expect Alabama pick up a few guys from Washington to fill some of these holes. If Harbaugh leaves for the NFL then Bama will pick up a bunch of those guys as well.

This was not a trolling post. It is a serious post. I believe this is true. I think Bama relied more on the “Saban will get you to the NFL” offer and less on NIL funds. Not that they weren’t paying players under Saban, because they were, but I don’t think the big bucks that some of these other schools are offering were being thrown around. And now that Saban is gone, the NIL funds still aren’t there and you don’t have the “NFL pipeline” to entice players.

We are witnessing the death of College Football like we used to know it. When the dust settles, the schools with the most $$$ will come out on top.
