Not sure how we are going to recover on the defensive side of the ball with all the transfers. You won’t if they all go. Saban screwed yall with his timing, the portal is open to poach bama players but bama can’t get anyone because the regular portal is closed.

Not sure how we are going to recover on the defensive side of the ball with all the transfers. Bama will be fine. Portal will open back up in the spring and then Bama will start filling holes and 2 deep spots with players from other teams. Portal is only open for these Bama transfers because of the 30 day rule. HC leaves once the new coach is hired, kids at that school get 30 days to relocate if they want to. If the portal was still open, you'd see Bama picking up a bunch of players as these leave. I'm betting that Deboer will end up cherry picking several of his best players from Washington and bringing them into the Bama lineup once the 30 day window is opened for them. This is the new college football. Portal and NIL will insure that stuff like this happens every year, from now until they put some rules in place to curb it.

You hate to see it…. Is there a team that isnt "imploding" burbank? Is there any team not losing players and coaches right now and replacing them with other players and coaches? Does this not happen every year? Its barely even worth talking about.

This is to be expected with all the transfer portal entries. We will all get to see Coach DeBoer and staff earn their salaries and hopefully build this Bama program into an identity they will mold. If DeBoer is successful then no one will remember all of these kids that made the decision to seek greener pastures.

So, im not really farmiliar with an imploding college football team. Can you describe the effects of an implosion to me? When can we say a team has fully imploded? Would it be if Bama only won about half their games next year? Or only win, maybe two conference games? Or if Bama was to get throttled by the cupcake team they pay 2 million dollars to come play them so they can get ready for the iron bowl? Or maybe if they lost the iron bowl too after that? Maybe fully imploded when they end up in the trannybowl and get the crap kicked out of them there too? Could we say then that Bama has fully imploded?
