I’ve gone through seasons of being frustrated with the camp and then just enjoying it for what it is. But in 10 years of being a member of a large club 25ish members here’s a couple of my takeaways.

There WILL be drama and there will be camaraderie

You probably won’t be able to get everyone on the same page for deer management but you can try

At the end of the day, most guys just want to get away from the grind and see some deer.

Although we don’t kill a trophy buck every year, what we pay for access to 3500 acres of land we have learned over the years is well worth it. If I want to hunt the public land I have a base camp. (We live 2 hours south of the camp).

You get what you pay for.

Some of my best memories are from killin basket rack bucks with a buddy and sharing stories over the campfire and you don’t need a club membership for that.
