Reading this thread makes me glad I'm not in a club any longer.
Amen, Amen and Amen……The last club I was in cost $1500 a year, had no idea where the money went until the end. The president was siphoning money out of the account, Bought his son and brother rifles, scopes and other hunting accessories. He had quite a gig for several years. He had the audacity to say “he earned the right because he was president”. Fist fights, alcohol drinking not only at the clubhouse and in the stands as well. Ive been in 4 clubs in my life and all four had their quirks. But mostly, every club had several members that made it miserable for everyone else. I’ll never join another club. Im blessed that my son and I lease 350 acres. Just the 2 of us. No drama, no skimming of club dues, no alcohol mixing with rifles, no miscommunications. Just good hunting with my son and grandkids.
