This is just me. Rather than wait for it to break, I'd take it and have it diagnosed, repair it on my schedule. Rent a truck for a few days until repairs are complete. I've done that in the past with good success, less stress and less inconvenience.

I am not a car guy. I don't care about the truck as long as it is 100% operational, but she hasn't given me a bit of problem. However, I 100% don't like having a car payment.
