You ever crack an outside door or window when lighting?
Is that supposed to help?
Might make it draw better. Your cabin is a smaller area and probably built very tight, a little air flow may do the trick . Worth a try.
A small fan in front when lighting might help too.
A little fine tuning of the damper in the pipe may give some relief.
Mine doesn't have a damper in the pipe. My stove doesn't use one. I think it has more to do with the fact that I have a straight vertical triple wall pipe that is exposed for about 25' on the outside of the cabin and it cools off too much overnight, hence the reason I use the candle or just have a fire going when we go to sleep at night.
It's not as simple as "mine doesn't draw." If I don't use the candle or have a fire in it overnight, and I get up on a cold morning to start a fire, it actually has a steady stream of cold air blowing straight down the flue and into the house. It's a serious reverse draft going on in there. It makes it almost impossible to start a fire without smoking up the whole cabin. Fortunately the candle trick is working 100% of the time. It's basically my flue heater. They actually make flue heaters by the way. I didn't even know they existed until I started researching our wood stove issues.
