My friend at Dauphin Island won’t touch one since he got sick eating one many years ago. His wife’s son harvests oysters out of bayou la batre
They say they’ll bring me a sack full next time they head up. Those guys running tongs harvesting wild oysters down here are a dying breed. My mom’s uncle used to do it. I remember helping them shuck as a kid. Fun times.
