1. Had a wild buck deer (spike) come up and stick his nose to me sniffing my camo to try to see what I was while I was siting on the ground up against a big tree one afternoon. 2014
2. Saw a mountain lion at Eufaula Wildlife Refuge while loading a buck in my truck 11:30 in the morning. 2004 ish
3. Saw 3 UFO's on the way back to camp with a big 8 pt on the four wheeler...Baker Hill, AL 2006
4. Saw the night sky light up bright green (the whole sky) New Year's Eve 1999-2000 4:00 AM...Looked like a giant fireball crashing into the Earth...turned out to be a meteor and the event was caught on some gas station cameras in Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
5. Spring turkey hunting near Barbour WMA but on private land in the middle of a 10-mile dirt road...walking in to set up on a powerline that morning an hour before daylight, something very big and heavy ran across the trail behind me within 15 ft. of me. It was breaking sticks and small saplings, taking thunderous footsteps I could feel and hear....pitch black night...by the time I could turn around with the flashlight it was past me and I never got my eyes on it. That's how fast the thing was. 2017
6. Was bow hunting at Eufaula Wildlife Refuge early one November. I was sitting in a turkey chair with a crossbow. All of a sudden, something fell with a loud thud over to my left into a low area that had some type of bush growing in it. 20 yards away. I kept my eye on the bushes as they were rustling. All of a sudden, a 5 pt. buck stands up from the bushes. I guess the dumby fell off the little ridge he was walking on and landed in the bushes...I got a good laugh because I didn't think a deer could be so clumsy. 2017

Driving home one night I come upon a fresh hit 6pt laying in the road, head up. I stopped and was trying to think of the best course of action when he stood up... hobbled over to the the Jeep Cherokee I was driving, and propped up on the front fender. He stood there for several minutes, just leaning on the fender.

Back in the early 90's my father in law shot a really nice 9 point. Drug it about 150 yards to the truck and loaded him up. Drove about 700 yards and stopped to lock gate back and heard something. Turned around the the buck was standing up in the bed. He jumped into the bed and wrestled the deer down (my father in law was the strongest man I have ever known. He worked in the maintenance department of BNSF and could swing a sledge hammer all day. Forearms that made popeye look small). Well the buck was hurt but not dead and somehow he got one side of the antlers shoved under the toolbox. He had left the rifle on the front seat and was unable to get his knife out. He opened the toolbox and got out a section of nylon ski rope and got it around the deers neck. Reached back into tool box and found a wrench and used that to wind the rope tight. He said when he started doing that the buck really started fighting but with his antlers under the tool box he was able to hold on. He said he kept winding until the rope was around the neck about the thickness of a beer can and he heard a pop and the deer quit moving.
It was at this point that I drove up and my FIL was laying in the bed panting. He was bleeding all over and needed stiches in 2 places. He doesnt know if it was an antler or a hoof or some of the crap in the bed of the truck that cut him.
When we cleaned the deer he had hit it high and I guess it shocked its spine and knocked the deer out, only to wake up later.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

Two, both during the rut. Camp house was built in 1832 and sits 50 feet off a paved county road. About 20 years ago I was at the camp by myself. Walked out about 10:00 PM to drink a beer and smoke a cigarette. Was sitting on the steps when a doe comes across the road, through the gate and runs past me at 10 feet. About 30 seconds later a huge 8 point came through hot on her trail. Happened so fast I never even moved. They both ran through the cigarette smoke.
Second time I was stalk hunting through some 20 year old planted pines that had been thinned early one morning. It was cold and I was just easing along and would stop, lean up against a tree and watch for a bit and move on. Was leaning against a tree and four does came running through the pines and ran right by me. About that time a four point came through trailing them. He stopped within arms length of me realized I was there and hauled tail after the does. Wasn’t really concerned with me. He had other things on his mind.

I drove up on a coyote attacking a fawn. The coyote ran off as I pulled up. I checked on the fawn, I couldnt find where it was cut or hurt in any way. Eventually it walked off. I did end up pulling my phone out and videoing it standing by me. This was about 5 years ago.
