A lot of that had to do with a QB that relies on his speed too much and continues to refuse to throw the ball away when he's outside the tackle box. Been doing it all year and there's no telling how many swear words I've screamed at the TV over it. With that said Michigan did win the trench war pretty handily.


Exactly BC. Milroe simply holds the ball too long and always has. He’s late on a lot of throws too, for the same reason. Takes him too long to process what he’s seeing and react. Both Penix and Ewers got the same massive jailbreak blitz pressure at certain times last night and instead of standing there holding the ball and taking the sacks, both recognized it immediately and got the ball out, within 2.5 seconds, and punished the defense for doing it. How many times this year did you see Milroe pick up the blitz and hit the open man behind it??

It’s probably exactly why Obrien told Milroe that he should switch from QB to RB, back when Obrien was the OC and coaching Milroe every single day at practice, for Milroe’s first 2 yrs at Bama. It’s easy to blame the line every time a QB gets sacked, but sometimes, the QB is a huge contributing factor too. Bama’s line was definitely bad this year but a bunch of those sacks could’ve been avoided. Not to mention that if you pop the defense for 15-20 every time they try it, they won’t be doing it every single play. Harbaugh recognized both Milroe and the o line as a huge weakness and exploited it all afternoon.
