Wouldn’t it be FL or TN or MS, etc watching for those crossing into their state? If an AL warden stops you in AL then you haven’t done a thing wrong. I could see AL checking incoming traffic but don’t see any way they could do anything about out going traffic. Never underestimate Chuck and Co.

Yup. Add this on top of the trail cam debacle they had a few years ago, lots of Tennesseans are losing respect for the TWRA. As for the topic if this thread, I heard reports last year or the year before , of AL GWs stopping vehicles coming into AL from TN on Interstate 65 South and US 231 South.

What really sucks is when you live in a border county and hunt in the next county over. It may just be a few miles, but political boundaries trump natural boundaries and home ranges. Makes it very inconvenient and has no impact on the resource. And the ticket is the same to bring a deer from Ranburne to Bowdon as bringing in a deer from Wisconsin.

Put the deer in tarp. Take off any camo. Put a couple ladders in your truck and just drive..

I can verify the GW's are watching for the hunters coming from TN on 231. Not full time, but I have seen them parked by that little church because it sits higher than the road. That's less than a mile from my house and I've seen them there a couple of times. Didn't dawn on me why at the time, but it makes sense now. There is a processor back behind the pallet plant that I would like to try someday, but all my hunting is done in Alabama, so I have to use Alabama processors.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

a LEO cannot stop a vehicle driving down the Interstate without probable cause...like seeing a deer in the bed of a truck. Otherwise not so legal.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I bet that's why alot of the public land hunters on YouTube drive honda pilots and Kia souls. They say those cars make it easier for scouting, bet it makes it alot easier to get back home unnoticed too.

Them boys got way to much at stake to risk to try and slip some deer meat over a state line. They stick pretty tight to state laws.

Sure you can bring out of AL but Have to debone or use a processor to transport from AL to FL. FWC is checking too. I just use a processor in AL to help a local business. This is why I don’t give a rip and transport regardless and dare them to screw with me. “i use a processor in Alabama”.
