Using something to “support” your rifle that can’t even support itself is your first mistake. Ditch the shooting “sticks” and get a Tripod. Problem solved. . I have a lightweight tripod I carry for shots that might occur “on the way” to the shooting house across a large ag field. Killed one at 250 yards while standing shooting from the tripod. Seated and shooting from the tripod is almost as steady as a bench and bags..
