Thanks, men. I saw it at 7:05, in a thicket about 100 yards away. It was for just a spit second. About 7:50, a doe was acting kind of skiddish, so I kept looking behind her. In about a full minute, he came out walking and grunting every step. I had a small hole through the thicket and punched him out at 118 steps on another ridge. This was public land. I hate it for the guy who had a trail camera set up by one of his scrapes. 6 point , 17 3/4 inch spread. I’m going to guess the weight around 180 pounds. Correction: He weighed 198 at the processor.
