I dont shoot one - and i dont hav anything against em - but my kid may use 243 this weekend so - whats the best 243 bullet? He usually goes w me 1-2 times a year - he not big hunter - but now he may go w a friend. I usually just let him use my gun and we sit together - but i gone let him take 243 and go w a buddy. I am out of 243 bullets
What is best 243 bullet ?

I’ve killed several dozen with 100 grain Remington Cor-lokt. Add the number me and my family have killed with them to Matt’s and it is more than most people will ever kill.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

My niece used 100 grain core-lokts for several years. No problems.
Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.

Hornady 87 grain sst is tough on deer 100% shot/recovery rate on close to 30 over the last few yrs

Handloads using Nosler 95 gr Ballistic Tips, Barnes 80 gr TTSX and B5 gr TSX have both performed excellent on deer!

I bought my sons a youth model 700 in .243 and we shot Remington 100 grain Core Lokt because back in the day, they were cheap and plentiful. I was going through their hunting bag the other day and found a full box tucked in the bottom.
